A couple have uncovered a time capsule under their floorboards - and it has made them question everything. The woman explained how she and her husband were cleaning their basement when they came across something unexpected under the floorboards.
On closer inspection, he saw hand-written note which reads: "Welcome to the E Club members." Alongside this was a poster advertising a giveaway in 1969 where players could earn £62,500 in cash, two luxury cars or a holiday in Europe for two. Not only this but there was also a book about The Banana Splits with a sticker and its official 'code machine.'
Taking to Reddit, he said: "We were tidying up the basement and I asked my husband to vacuum some cobwebs and a letter got sucked out from a space under the floorboards… emptied it out and found a bunch of things, these were pretty neat."

Commenting on the find, the woman joked that she wishes the giveaway was still open because she'd "love to win a 1969 Stingray". One user said: "I saw E Club and thought you had time travellers!"
Another user added: "That's cool. I found an empty 6er of original Schlitz pull tab cans from 1962 and an empty pint of bourbon under the decking in my attic. I imagine some high school kids in 1962 snuck up there to get drunk.
"I also found a coke bottle and a Pepsi bottle from 1959 (the year the house was built) behind drywall in different places. Cleaned those up and have them on display. They're my treasures."
A third user said: "One banana two banana three banana four!" One more user added: "Loved the Banana Splits."
A final user said: "Treasure!"
It comes after a woman uncovered a secret room in her 127-year-old home.
She shared how she stumbled upon the concealed room when she noted something off about the panelling in an upstairs closet.
Upon closer inspection, she realised it was concealing something.
Sharing her find on Reddit, she wrote: "I found this room hidden in my house last year.
"The only way to access it is to take the panelling down in the closet upstairs. I think it's so cool! My house was built in 1897."
She shared how her son had insisted there was a discrepancy between the size of the attic and the rest of the house, suggesting an unseen area.
She revealed: "My son kept telling me that the attic did not add up with the downstairs. He said there had to be hidden space. Low and behold, there was."
